Arlin and Sarah {Engaged}

We have been friends of the Lawlis family for a long time and were very excited to hear that Sarah had found "the one." Sarah is a special girl to us that is sweet, smart, artsy and fun-loving and Arlin is the perfect match for her. They are so happy together and in love and you can see that when you are around them...it's contagious.

They wanted something "Austin-y" for their engagement photos and that was the only direction I had. South Congress, alleys, a bar and the Austin Museum of Art building were all fair game...even a stranger passing by got into the action.

A Moment... {Engaged}

I recently had an engagement shoot with Chad and Natalie and there was one photo that really stood out to me. The light, the location, the emotion...all of it came together. Moments like these inspire me to shoot more and more. These are the moments that truly define what I try to capture as a visual storyteller.

This image tells a story...a story between two people that is unfolding as they share their lives together.

Anna and Michael {Engaged}

I met Anna at the Kindred Oaks open house and knew I wanted to be a part of telling their story. They are from Midland but will be getting married in Boerne at The Marquardt Ranch. For their engagement shoot, they wanted something fun, a little eclectic and with an Austin-flair to it. Outside of that, they were very open to whatever. We spent a few hours wandering the streets of Austin shooting and taking advantage of the urban landscape. I'm a big fan of the graffiti around Austin and love when given the opportunity to incorporate it in a shoot. You really can't go wrong with the different "Til Death Do Us Part" murals by Federico Archuleta.

Really enjoyed hanging with Anna and Michael...looking forward to their wedding in a few months. Congratulations guys! Thanks for allowing me to be a part of telling your story.
